The below is a diagram of the human respiratory system. Air from the mouth and nose flows down the trachea(windpipe) and into the lungs. The air then goes down one of two bronchi(tubes that the trachea splits into) and then into one of many bronchioles- small bronchi. From the bronchioles, the air goes into the alveoli(tiny air sacks) where it diffuses into capillaries, which lead to arterioles, which lead to arteries leading to the heart. The oxygenated blood circulates through the body, leading back to the heart and lungs. Various problems with the respiratory system can lead to asthma. Smoking can result in "black lung", which can lead to lung cancer and death.

Without your respiratory system, you wouldn't be able to breathe, and your heart wouldn't pump. When you take a breath, it goes down to your lungs, and into your alveoli. Oxygen then moves from your alveoli, into capillaries in your blood. There are 300 million alveoli's attached at the end of your bronchi.

For your respiratory system to work properly, you have to take proper care of it. Smoking is bad for your lungs, for you are just breathing in smoke, and may cause lung cancer. Lung cancer is a disease that causes you to suffocate eventually. Asthma isn't so great to get, but you don't get it by taking bad care of yourself. You can get it even if you're the healthiest person in the world. Asthma is when you have airway constriction. Airway constriction is caused by your bronchi's to narrow and swell up, I guess you'd say. Asthma attacks are caused by pollen getting into you. There are medicines for asthma, unless it is too serious.

Respiratory System

     The Respiratory System is one of the most important parts of your body. If you do not have a Respiratory System you would not live two minuets of your life.  You have to breath to survive and you need Lungs to breath to survive and you need Alveoli's to use your lungs that lets you breath that makes you survive and you need a Bronchi to use your Alveoli to use your Lungs to breath to survive you also need a mouth or a nose to use your Lungs and a Alveoli to breath. And the most important body part the Heart it pumps gallons of blood.

The Respiratory System is very interesting there are many parts. Like the lungs are made up of lots of parts that make up the main part of the system parts like the lungs so many thing make up them like the Alveoli is inside your lungs and is the main part inside of your lungs , Trachea makes you breath it is like a bony tube that connects after your Nose and Mouth meet it takes the air from outside and brings it into the lungs , Bronchi is stuff that you would find in your lungs and tons of very tiny Cells that are all over your body and what makes you.

In the Respiratory system there are many things that you should know about to keep your
system healthy.

1. The respiratory system is up where your chest is.

2. NEVER SMOKE!

3. When you have asthma your system is not filtering well, and when you have asthma your bronchi tubes narrow and almost closed, and that why it's hard for you to breath.

On number two here is one thing for your advice you can die because when you have all that smoke, in your body you can't breath properly the way your system works is off track. Also you see on number Three when you have asthma, you should have an inhaler, because when you run your respiratory system is clogged or something else that is special about you that is in your system, but I've played on a soccer team and one girl had asthma and a couple times she had to sit out when we had punishments ( when people where not paying attention to Mark.) he would make us run laps. so to get this clear if there was no respiratory system you wouldn't be here so ALWAYS keep your body healthy.

Working on the blog can be hard, but if we work together it will be quite easy! Samuel will be working on illustrations and references, health issues will be done by Courtney, body system organs will be done by Willzie, and me (Jack) will be doing body system function.
